The Skylight Room
This room is appointed with a king-sized bed with a nice stained glass reading light by the bed, a two person whirlpool tub with a skylight overhead, a separate shower, a wood burning fireplace and queen size futon. After a day of hiking return to the Inn, pull off your boots, and slip into a warm and relaxing whirlpool bath. This room is in the back of the inn and has a separate entrance, giving it a nice private feeling. Honeymooners and those who desire more privacy love this room.
A wood-burning fireplace enhance the coziness of these rooms. Remember, here in the mountains, we have cool nights most of the year, so winter is not the only season for curling up with someone special.
The windows on the back echo the lines of the windows in the original, 1902 summer home that has become Trail’s End Inn. We tried to bring the feeling of Adirondack sleeping porches to these rooms, but still allow the space to be used year-round.
The room also has a futon couch that converts to comfortable queen-sized bed if you want to share with another couple or have a place to park the kids. There’s still lots of room for rollaway beds, too, if you need them. (Extra person charges apply if more than two people occupy the room.)
